Why Karma?

Karma is a Sanskrit word that means action, work, or deed.  In Hinduism and Buddhism, it also refers to the spiritual principle of cause and effect .  In this context, intent and actions influence the future.  Good intent and good deeds contribute to good karma and future happiness; bad intent and bad deeds contribute to bad karma and future suffering.

All of which is to say that in politics as in every area of life, intentions play a big role in determining outcomes.  Ergo the Political Buddha and Bad Karma of the Week.
